About Me

Hello Again!

I think it's important to know a little about me before diving into these amazing recipes!
To start, I am not a professional baker or chef. My husband was deployed for 9 months and I needed a new hobby to keep me busy, so I took up baking and haven't stopped!

Believe it or not, I'm actually an Elementary Art Teacher and share many of my creations with my fellow teachers each week! They help me decide which recipes to try again and which ones to leave behind!

You should also know that I live and bake in Colorado at a higher elevation. This could effect some recipes and how they bake. It's always important to check on your treats while baking to make sure they aren't burning and to insert a toothpick into the middle to make sure they are cooked all the way through. I find that some things cook a little faster while others cook a little slower.

Aside from baking and teaching, I love to work on our home and have done a lot of DIY projects. I've refaced our fireplace, replaced our dining room and kitchen floors, created a ship lap wall in our living room, replaced light fixtures, and even have experience making wood furniture. Perhaps some day I'll create a blog featuring my latest home projects too!

And when I'm not baking, teaching, or fixing things, I'm likely hanging out with my five furbabies! Yes, FIVE! All rescues.

We have two dogs. Chance is a pit lab mix and Coco is a lab whippet mix. They love to race each other at the dog park!

Then we have three cats. In the front is Oreo. He is the oldest and fluffiest! In the middle is Buster, he is our shy baby. Finally at the top is Oliver. He is the alpha of our furbabies. He is friendly, but can get sassy at times.

My husband and I were married in July of 2017 and it's been an adventure! I want to thank him for supporting my baking hobby. He is my best food taster! :)

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and to check out my blog! I really hope you enjoy it!
